Where can one get help?
Specific resources for your situation
Functional impairments, disabilities and special needs
If you have a disability or a special need, e.g. dyslexia, you can always talk to a study advisor about your study needs. In addition, you can apply for Special Educational Support (SPS) in the form of technical aids, support classes, ergonomic aids, or special exam conditions for your exams.
Unions
An union advises, assists and negotiates wage and employment conditions for its members. It is an interest organization that actively tries to influence the labor market and educational conditions for the benefit of its members. Some trade unions offer reduced membership prices to students and cheap student insurance.
If you want to know more about trade unions, you can read more under module 2 in the lesson “Unions and unemployment insurance funds”
RUC University Chaplain
If you need to talk to someone, you can always book a conversation with the university chaplain to get rid of something holding you back. The conversations are free and bound by confidentiality, and you can have as many conversations as you want. Maybe you want to be in a room where you are not in a hurry (conversations of up to an hour and a half per time), and if you have more on your mind, just book a new time. Here there is room for conversations about stress, insecurities, feelings of sadness, loss or just being sad. You can also discuss feelings of not being ‘good enough’, friendship groups that are difficult to navigate or problems in the project group, etc. The conversations can focus on changing perspectives. New understandings can arise that make a difference, and she also offers existential and philosophical conversations. contact upe@ruc.dk to book a conversation.

A study environment tutor serves as the link between new students and the university. They work closely with the class coordinator and engage both academically and socially in the wellbeing of the group as well as individual students. Your study environment tutor can assist in organizing events, provide tips and tricks for academic resources, support communication with instructors, and help new students settle in. Typically, you can also ask them for help if you are unsure where to turn with your problems, as they can guide you in the right direction.
